Happy Camp, California
Along the Scenic Klamath River
How To Get Here
Happy Camp, California is located at the junction of the beautiful "State of Jefferson Scenic Byway" and the "Bigfoot Scenic Byway". We're on Highway 96 in the Klamath National Forest.
From I-5 go west from the Collier's Rest Area, about 26 miles south of Ashland.
From Yreka, fill up with fuel and follow Main Street north through the canyon until you get to Highway 96. A sharp left follows the Klamath River to Happy Camp.
From Grants Pass head down Highway 199 past Cave Junction and take Waldo Road, Highway 48 over Page Mountain, past Snow Park and into Happy Camp.
From the coast it's a beautiful ride up Highway 299 from Arcata and then Highway 96 from Willow Creek.
Happy Camp is where the Bigfoot Scenic Byway and the State of Jefferson Scenic Byway meet!
